| Red Trainee CSCS Card |
While you are studying towards obtaining your construction
NVQ qualification, you are able to apply for a red Trainee CSCS card, which is
available for craft workers and operatives.
The red Trainee CSCS card shows potential employers that you are currently
studying towards your qualification within the relevant construction field and
that you have an awareness of health and safety issues.
To qualify for the trainee red CSCS card you must past a CSCS Health and SafetyTest.
After you have passed your NVQ/SVQ level 2 or 3, depending
on your field, you will be able to progress from a red Trainee CSCS card to a blue
or possibly gold CSCS card, which shows employers that you are a competent
worker with relevant knowledge. This will increase your level of employability.
This card is valid for three years, but like the Graduate red card, it too can
be renewed. Ideally you will have progressed from this card onto another CSCS
card level before the red Trainee CSCS card needs renewing.
For more information about red Trainee CSCS cards, to discuss the
progression of CSCS cards or to book a Health and Safety test please call at 0208 099 4324 to talk our
